At ESPACE212, Sylvie Fortin offers group classes in the Feldenkrais Method to adults. She also works, in individual sessions, with adults and children with motor disorders.

As a former professor in the Department of Dance at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Sylvie was heavily involved in research teams in hospitals and rehabilitation centers. Through dance and the Feldenkrais Method, she has accompanied a number of children and adults in vulnerable situations, such as fibromyalgia, depression, eating disorders, neuromuscular diseases, strokes, and drug addiction. This practice has taken her to present and teach throughout the world. Her writings on the subject have appeared in both scientific articles and books for the general public.

Over the years, Sylvie has maintained a passion for the practice and teaching of the Feldenkrais Method and is still fascinated at how the power of gentle movement can trigger awareness at all levels. For Sylvie, the Feldenkrais Method appears as an opportunity for everyone to enrich their lives through improving states of bodily well-being, emotion, imagination and thought.
